Fiber Drop Technician [3366]

Position Overview

GridSource is seeking a Drop Technician in Las Vegas, NV to join our fast-paced and growing team. Compensation: IMMEDIATE NEED: Sign-On Bonus of $5000 plus up to $1,500 for Technician Referrals. At GridSource—a full-service utility contractor specializing in telecommunication, broadband, and underground construction—you’ll be part of a team committed to delivering exceptional service while growing your career.

Key Responsibilities

• Install fiber optic internet services for both residential and commercial customers while providing product education.
• Install aerial and underground fiber optic cables from servicing terminals to customer demarcation points.
• Clean and connect fiber cables at FSAI, MST, and ONT locations.
• Work at heights (18+ feet on an extension ladder) and handle aerial/underground cable installations.
• Communicate technical information effectively to customers.
• Perform physically demanding tasks including lifting over 75 pounds and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Adhere to equipment weight limitations when working aloft (combined weight of employee and tools must not exceed 300 pounds).

Required Qualifications

• Own a truck, van, or SUV with a ladder rack.
• Possess all necessary tools to perform the job.
• Have an Android smartphone.
• Own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including lace-up boots with a ½-inch heel, hard hat, reflective vest, fall resistor, and safety cones.
• Be available for flexible scheduling; weekend work may be required.
• Pass a background check and drug test.
