In this role as the Global Product Director of Industrial Automation – covering Fixed Industrial Scanning, Machine Vision, RFID and associated software – you will lead strategy, development and execution of global product marketing programs through every stage of the customer decision funnel. You will guide a team to create compelling messages, campaigns, and sales tools that differentiate our product portfolio while partnering with senior leaders across business units, sales, and regional/global marketing teams. This is a highly strategic role with a hybrid work model (3 days in-office/2 remote) in Lincolnshire, IL or Holtsville, NY.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own, develop, and manage the marketing strategy for the introduction and lifecycle of Industrial Automation products to drive value creation and revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with various marketing teams (Analyst Relations, PR, Digital, Vertical, Campaign, Brand, Channel and Regional) to execute holistic portfolio marketing plans.
  • Define compelling market positions for different segments of the Industrial Automation portfolio, evolving strategies based on R&D efforts and competitive dynamics.
  • Lead and mentor a highly motivated team by setting assignments, communicating deliverables, managing budgets, and driving strategic messaging and content development.
  • Oversee global New Product Introduction (NPI), lifecycle marketing programs, end-of-life (EOL) and end-of-service (EOS) processes ensuring alignment with product management and sales organizations.
  • Manage a significant marketing budget, measure ROI, partner with Global Enablement Center to empower sales teams, and champion cross-sell and attach marketing initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering or similar discipline.
  • 15+ years of experience in technical sales or marketing, including product management, launch and lifecycle strategies; with 7+ years of direct team management.
  • Proven ability to work in a hybrid environment with in-office (3 days) and remote (2 days) settings from Lincolnshire, IL or Holtsville, NY.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%, predominantly within the US with some international travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in B2B technology marketing with global responsibilities and familiarity with indirect sales and fulfillment channels.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and elevate a high-performing team while attracting top talent.
  • In-depth knowledge of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) best practices for new product introductions within B2B environments.
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of product development, channel/sales processes, and strategic budget management.
  • Expertise in developing seller enablement content and programs for both direct and channel sales teams.
  • Proficiency in messaging strategy, competitive positioning, and simplifying complex information to connect with target audiences.
  • Experience working across global go-to-market operations and interfacing with key P&L leaders responsible for R&D and product management.
