Position Overview
The Business Intelligence Financial Analyst at Premier America Credit Union plays a pivotal role in modernizing data infrastructure and empowering teams with real‐time insights. This role establishes a unified single source of truth through enterprise dashboards, unified reporting, and advanced analytics, driving improved member engagement and increased operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and visualizations that support enterprise and departmental KPIs, providing insights into performance, member behavior, and operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and document business requirements, data sources, and metric definitions while ensuring governance standards are met.
- Translate business needs into technical BI requirements with alignment to data governance and accuracy standards.
- Utilize SQL and BI tools – Tableau and Power BI – to analyze structured and semi-structured data from systems such as Symitar, Salesforce, Medallia, and Velera.
- Validate data quality and integrate reliable data into the Enterprise Data Warehouse and reporting ecosystem.
- Design and develop predictive models and early warning indicators in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Enable data literacy by training stakeholders and embedding dashboards into daily decision-making processes.
- Analyze trends to support growth initiatives, enhance fraud mitigation, drive member retention, and inform product and engagement strategies.
- Contribute to the enterprise-wide implementation of reporting platforms and support the retirement of legacy systems.
- Develop an integrated reporting layer that reduces manual workload and creates a unified source of truth.
- Partner with the Finance Team to ensure reliable data extracts for financial modeling and implement necessary data enhancements.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in BI development, data analysis, or enterprise reporting, ideally in a credit union or financial services setting.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools, with a demonstrated ability to deliver intuitive dashboards.
- Familiarity with credit union operations, especially in digital banking, deposits, payments, and fraud.
- Experience with Jack Henry’s Symitar, Lumin Digital, Tableau, Salesforce, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working within Agile teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with data governance principles and data quality standards.
- Experience working with data warehouses, data lakehouses, or cloud analytics platforms is a plus.
- Excel proficiency along with familiarity with financial statements and financial modeling software (e.g., Interest Rate Risk modeling software).
