Position Overview
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for travel assignments in various healthcare facilities. In this role, you will support pharmacists by dispensing medications accurately, managing inventory, and ensuring proper storage and preparation of medications. This is a 13-week travel assignment set in the beautiful city of Honolulu, Hawaii – a perfect blend of professional growth and personal exploration.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and label medications for patient use according to prescription orders.
- Maintain proper inventory control and ensure medications are stocked and stored properly.
- Process medication orders and verify their accuracy.
- Maintain and clean pharmacy equipment and work areas.
- Assist in managing medication records and patient profiles.
- Provide customer service by answering patient inquiries and assisting with medication-related questions.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and safety protocols.
- Travel to various healthcare facilities for temporary assignments as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Pharmacy Technician certification preferred.
- Licensure: State Pharmacy Technician licensure required (as applicable).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital or retail setting.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
- Travel Readiness: Willingness to take on travel assignments.
