Position Overview
As a Bank Teller at Austin Capital Bank, you will be the friendly face that greets customers and assists with everyday banking needs in a fast‐paced environment. Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assist with deposits, withdrawals, payments, and account inquiries.
- Accurately process cash and check transactions while adhering to bank policies and procedures.
- Maintain a balanced cash drawer and follow proper cash-handling protocols.
- Answer questions about products and services, helping customers find the right banking solutions.
- Identify opportunities to refer customers to other bank services or departments.
- Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Assist with operational tasks, such as balancing the vault, processing night deposits, and preparing reports as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Direct experience using Jack Henry core banking system (required).
- Great communication skills and a passion for helping people.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
- A team-first attitude with a willingness to learn and pitch in where needed.
- Ability to stay organized and multitask in a customer-facing environment.
- Basic math skills and comfort handling cash and financial transactions.
- Reliability and professionalism in attendance, punctuality, and overall conduct.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a financial institution with regular use of Jack Henry core systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous cash handling or customer service experience, preferably in a retail or banking environment.
- Basic knowledge of banking products and services.
- Comfort using computers and banking systems.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus but not required.
