Position Overview

Compensation:Compensation can differ depending on factors including office location, role, skill set, education, and experience. UST provides a reasonable compensation range for roles across various U.S. markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, refactor, and enhance microservices using Java or Python with AWS to ensure clean design, testability, and high performance.
- Collaborate with risk, quant, and engineering stakeholders to modernize legacy risk applications (credit & liquidity risk) into cloud-native architectures.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) for automated, repeatable deployments to AWS.
- Build robust CI/CD pipelines, deploy services, monitor performance, and ensure operational reliability.
- Deliver risk metrics, analytics, and tooling that empower senior management, risk officers, and regulators.
- Embrace agile and test-driven development practices to iteratively improve system architecture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or Communication.
- Professional software development experience, ideally in financial services or risk-focused domains.
- Strong programming expertise in Java or Python with proficiency in designing, developing, and testing software.
- Experience in designing and testing enterprise-level software applications with a focus on RESTful APIs.
- Hands-on experience building or migrating applications into AWS using microservices, serverless, or containerized architectures.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud deployment best practices.
- Experience with public cloud environments (e.g., AWS Certified Developer or equivalent).
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in Financial Services or Risk (credit, liquidity, market), data workflows, or analytics is a plus.
