Position Overview
Join a Nationally Recognized Architecture and Engineering Firm as a Senior Interior Designer. We are seeking a seasoned design professional to join our award-winning architecture and interior design team in St. Louis, MO. In this role you will lead high-impact projects in the healthcare, science & technology, and higher education sectors—shaping innovative, functional, and sustainable interior environments from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead interior architecture and design projects through all phases—from concept design and development to documentation and construction administration.
- Develop creative, functional, and code‐compliant interior design solutions aligned with client goals and brand standards.
- Manage the production of interior construction documents, finish schedules, FF&E specifications, and material selections.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, engineers, and consultants to deliver cohesive project outcomes.
- Supervise and mentor junior interior designers, ensuring quality, performance, and professional growth.
- Ensure compliance with ADA standards, local building codes, and firm-wide quality protocols.
- Present design concepts and material palettes to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Oversee project budgeting, scheduling, and contract deliverables to ensure profitable and on-time delivery.
- Support business development through client engagement, proposal development, and presentations.
- Stay updated on interior design trends, innovative materials, finishes, and sustainable practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture (CIDA-accredited program preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of professional interior design experience, ideally within healthcare, higher education, or science/technology environments.
- Proficiency in Revit is required; working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and other industry-standard design tools is a plus.
- Strong conceptual design, space planning, and programming skills.
- Experience managing mid- to large-scale interior design projects.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and client relationship management abilities.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Demonstrated leadership with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
- NCIDQ certification is preferred.
- LEED AP or other sustainability credentials are a plus.
