Computer Field Technician - Full-time / Part-time

Position Overview

Based out of Granbury, Texas, BC Tech Pro partners with techs nationwide to complete on-site hardware warranty services. If you love working on computers and want to get out from behind a desk, come work with us!
This position is for a Computer Field Technician who will perform hardware repairs and installations on laptops and desktops. Prior experience with these systems is required.

Key Responsibilities

• This is a 1099/per call position.
• Compensation: Pay is based solely on the number of calls completed – calls start at $35 and may increase based on distance traveled.
• Pay Period: Every Friday after the first week worked.
• Tickets are run Monday-Friday during the day shift; candidates must be available at least 3 weekdays.
• Call volume is variable, usually 2-5 calls per day.
• Complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of onboarding (certifications are online and free).
• Must have a reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license to visit multiple work sites daily.
• Must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto the tech portal each day.
• Log into the tech portal by 9 AM daily to code calls and map out the route.
• Pick up parts daily from the assigned FedEx or UPS store and drop off old parts with the provided pre-paid label after calls are completed.

Required Qualifications

• Prior hands-on experience with replacing components on laptops and desktops.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Comfortable with daily local travel.
