Position Overview

We are currently seeking an individual eager to start a career in the Electrical Distribution Industry at our Oyster Point, VA location. As a Counter Sales Associate, you will be responsible for selling products to customers, assisting with product selection, and developing customer relationships to ensure Capital Electric remains the Electrical Distributor of Choice.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle incoming customer phone calls
• Greet walk-in customers
• Assist customers with orders and provide appropriate product selection
• Pick customer orders from the warehouse and deliver them to the counter
• Prepare customer sales tickets and process charges
• Promote and sell company product promotions
• Provide assistance to certain warehouse functions
• Reach monthly goals in sales and gross margin
• Maintain courtesy and politeness toward customers
• Multi-task and continually prioritize tasks throughout the day
• Other duties as required

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Sales experience and/or Electrical knowledge preferred (training provided)
• Good and dependable mathematics, verbal, and written communication skills
• Computer and MS Office literate
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly; up to 70 lbs. occasionally
• Reliable, responsible, with a great work ethic
