Entry-Level Structural/Bridge Engineer job at Jacobs. New York, NY.

As a vital member of our New York City team, you'll have the opportunity to work on transportation projects that focus on bridge and other transportation structure design, such as tunnels, stations, and transit maintenance facilities. Working alongside a team of technicians and engineers, you'll be responsible for assisting with project tasks in construction and design creating computer models, preparing calculations of section properties and weight take-offs, performing drafting, and such as submittals, site visits, and technical design.

Our Structural/Bridge Engineer performs evaluations of structures of various degrees of complexity, prepares plans, designs, calculations and cost estimates under the supervision of experienced engineers, research code issues and works with City, State, and County officials and research design options and documents findings for Project Engineers and/or Project Managers.

  • Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and/or Structural Engineering
    • EIT Certification
    • Working knowledge of Word and Excel
    • Strong analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • 2-4 years of previous related experience
    • EIT certification
    • Master's Degree in Structural Engineering
