Position Overview
Weber Shandwick is looking for a Manager, Influencer Strategy to join our team in Central (Chicago, Detroit, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Dallas). This role requires 3+ years of experience and a deep understanding of the influencer landscape, with proven expertise in developing and executing both integrated and influencer-led campaigns.
Required Qualifications

- Excellent communication: ability to speak, write, and edit succinctly and compellingly
- Effective management skills to meet deadlines, multitask, and resolve issues
- Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in diverse team environments
- Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook; familiarity with influencer databases, management systems, and social listening/tracking tools is a plus
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering clear and precise work
- Strong cultural awareness and deep knowledge of social media platforms and emerging trends
- Ability to track and analyze influencer performance against campaign KPIs
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Execution
- Execute daily responsibilities for multiple client programs, including managing budgets and plans
- Serve as a trusted resource and advisor during daily client interactions
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (strategy, creative, integrated media, influencer) to ensure alignment on deliverables
- Translate tactical assignments into clear action steps and track progress against strategy
- Draft messaging and contribute ideas and research to support influencer strategy development
- Anticipate executional issues and proactively offer solutions to senior leadership
- Partner with project management counterparts to manage budgets, hours, expenses, and staffing allocations
Influencer Strategy & Execution
- Leverage agency tools and processes for influencer identification, contracting, and measurement
- Contribute to influencer strategies through research, benchmarking, and tactical recommendations
- Research, vet, contract, and manage relationships with influencer talent
- Draft and compile influencer briefing materials for internal and client review
- Oversee influencer briefings, monitor content performance against KPIs, and prepare detailed recaps
Client & Team Engagement
- Manage daily client communications and escalate issues as needed
- Provide regular updates and reporting, seeking senior guidance on strategic matters
- Participate in client meetings and presentations to deliver defined workstreams
- Draft, proof, and edit client-related documents ensuring accuracy before senior review
- Coordinate support team resources and deliverables for major campaigns and product launches

Salary range: $67,000 - $80,000
