Position Overview
At Edward Jones, you’ll be joining a dynamic team within our HQ Network Engineering and Operations group. You will build, deliver, and maintain innovative network solutions that ensure high performance and availability of our headquarters network while collaborating across multiple teams. This role is ideal for a technology and people leader passionate about emerging technologies and committed to transforming how we support our clients and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage the activities of the HQ Network team, ensuring network availability, performance, and ongoing engineering of new solutions.
- Lead the team during network and technology incidents to mobilize resources and resolve issues promptly.
- Identify opportunities to leverage tools, automation, and process improvements to enhance service delivery and reduce outages and MTTR.
- Drive strategic direction for HQ network technologies in line with the firm’s broader needs.
- Oversee annual financial planning, ensuring alignment of personnel and financial needs to support external obligations, network enhancements, and technology projects.
- Manage trimester and Agile planning cycles to set priorities and ensure timely delivery of results.
- Develop and present project recommendations, obtaining necessary approvals for efforts of varying complexity.
- Implement and operationalize approved solutions in accordance with firm requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop associates while fostering a strong, inclusive team culture and preparing successors for key roles.
- Establish and maintain relationships with internal departments, leadership at various levels, and external vendors.
- Ensure prudent use of financial resources and hold external service providers accountable for service delivery and costs.
- Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week effective June 1, 2026; before then, three days per week with a preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or equivalent work experience in Information Systems.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in telecommunications and networking technologies – including routing, switching, campus wireless deployments, application load balancing, DNS, and cloud solutions – with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience with Cloud network solutions and automation tools/process mapping.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and large enterprise support processes, systems, and technologies.
- Proven ability to recognize and assess operational and strategic opportunities with appropriate solutions and recommendations.
- Strong leadership skills with a history of developing and mentoring high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with associates, business partners, vendors, and senior leadership.
- Capability to manage escalations and work collaboratively with support and project teams.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and maintain strong relationships.
- A commitment to process orientation, planning, execution, and metric monitoring.
- A demonstrated ability to manage personal development and incorporate leadership feedback.

- Compensation Range:
- Hiring Minimum: $117,000
- Hiring Maximum: $199,300
