As part of the Test Systems Engineering (TSE) group within Development Operations, you will support the design, fabrication, and installation of Special Test Equipment (STE), essential for commercial and military ground testing of engines and components. Key Responsibilities
- Interface with a multidisciplinary team to design and implement test facility electrical control and data systems in support of development and production test programs.
- Collaborate with customers to further understand and define their requirements.
- Propose and implement cost-effective solutions from initial concept through final design, fabrication, checkout, and system turnover, considering feasibility, safety, environmental impact, and industry standards.
- Identify improvements to Engineering Standard Work during task execution.
- Interface frequently with Engine Project Groups, Purchasing, and external vendors.
- Collaborate with capital project managers and lead both high and medium power electrical design for new construction/renovation of site facilities.
- Write request for proposal documents in support of capital procurement.
- Oversee vendors and ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Plan, design, integrate, and implement on-site Power Distribution systems.
- Review and approve project and construction drawings to confirm adherence to NEC, Florida Building Codes, and local codes.
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to team members.
- Travel is required less than 25%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Controls, Power Transmission, or Power Distribution Engineering.
- 5 years of electrical or engineering experience OR an Advanced Degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering with 3 years’ experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer License (PE).
- Knowledge of electrical relay logic design, motor control center design, and power/control wiring distribution.
- Understanding of pressures, temperatures, and fluid process control in relation to the mechanical environment.
- Experience using AutoCAD for designing electrical wiring diagrams.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with compliance codes such as NEC, NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, and OSHA 510.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools like Six Sigma or CORE to drive continuous improvement.

- Compensation: Salary range of 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD.
