Job Description

Position Overview

Axon is seeking a sharp and driven Media Service Technician to support redaction procedures within the Public Safety space. Based in Mesa, AZ, you will serve as the primary on-site contact for law enforcement agencies, ensuring timely production of redacted evidence and managing digital evidence effectively. This role requires working closely with cross-functional teams to overcome challenges and enhance operational efficiency.

The position is with Axon and is a 6-month contract opportunity. It offers a Monday–Thursday schedule (6:30–5 with an unpaid 30-minute lunch, with some flexibility) and holidays off. Interview process will be in person with a start date in mid-February.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work on-site at the Mesa Police Department to support their public safety program.
  • Achieve proficiency in the redaction process, including interpreting redaction guidelines.
  • Provide technical assistance to county precincts, troubleshoot devices, and assist with product training.
  • Analyze data and create reports for agency leadership.
  • Manage all duties within the scope of product-specific role assignments.
  • Interpret policy and law to advise best practices to county leadership.
  • Provide feedback to continuously improve the public safety program and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in regular meetings with the embedded team, county representatives, and external agencies.
  • Utilize strong communication and organizational skills to meet client objectives and prioritize tasks.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience with criminal justice exposure (public safety, emergency medical, or 911 dispatch).
  • Sharp personality with a desire to grow with the company.
  • Proficient with Windows OS, mobile devices, and cloud-based solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience with editing/redacting media.
  • Bilingual capabilities.
