Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analysis on potential cyber threats and vulnerabilities to the state's digital infrastructure.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security protocols and procedures.
  • Identify and report any security breaches or incidents to the appropriate team members.
  • Collaborate with experienced professionals to learn and gain hands-on experience in the field of cyber security.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest cyber security trends, techniques, and technologies.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to expand knowledge and skills in cyber security.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to protect sensitive information.
  • Monitor and analyze security logs and alerts to identify and respond to potential threats.
  • Support the development and maintenance of disaster recovery plans and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure security protocols are integrated into all systems and processes.
  • Maintain documentation of security procedures and protocols.
  • Participate in security audits and assist with remediation of any identified vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct security awareness training for employees to promote best practices for protecting sensitive information.
  • Stay current with federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to cyber security.
  • Demonstrate a proactive and detail-oriented approach in maintaining the security of the state's digital assets.
