Position Overview

As an Associate DevOps Engineer, you will bridge development and operations while leveraging automation tools across AWS and on-premises infrastructure. Collaborating with agile teams, you will design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in the cloud. The typical base pay range for this role is between $75,000 - $91,920. Compensation may vary based on skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support for engineering automated solutions, including continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipelines, automated testing practices, and robust monitoring.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-based solutions with high performance, security, and scalability.
- Utilize programming languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python) and work with container orchestration services (ECS, Docker, Kubernetes) alongside various AWS tools.
- Develop solutions to enhance quality, delivery speed, and efficiency by prioritizing automation technologies.
- Support production issue resolution with prompt troubleshooting and after-hours assistance as needed.
- Engage with program owners and business units to implement enhancements and adopt best practices across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Experience with Cloud Computing principles with a focus on AWS services.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
- Understanding of networking concepts, including VPC, subnets, security groups, load balancers, and VPNs.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work effectively in an agile and collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with additional cloud platforms such as GCP or Microsoft Azure.
- Any AWS, Azure, or GCP certification (developer, solution architect, networking, or infrastructure).
- Experience with container orchestration services and Infrastructure as Code approaches.
