Position Overview

Join our team as a day shift, full-time Dermatology Medical Assistant in Tulsa, OK.
Location: Tulsa, OK
Schedule: Day Shift, Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide superior patient care by performing both administrative and delegated clinical tasks in a clinic-based environment.
  • Enter, maintain, and report all medical history, code medical information, and file claims using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Support patient visits by greeting patients, escorting them to exam rooms, taking vital signs, and gathering relevant medical information.
  • Sterilize and prepare medical instruments, ensuring that exam rooms are disinfected, orderly, and ready for incoming patients.
  • Assist in inventory management by stocking supplies, instruments, and equipment while reviewing orders for accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate referrals and insurance authorizations, and communicate with pharmacies, hospitals, and labs regarding prescriptions, x-rays, or lab requisitions.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Microsoft Office.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer before providing direct patient care.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Graduation from an accredited medical assistant/medical technologist program or three years of medical assistant experience.
  • Current national certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
