Position Overview

Honey Mama’s is a rapidly growing consumer brand on a mission to offer body-loving, heart-healthy foods that naturally stimulate well-being while delivering an indulgent experience. As the Field Marketing Coordinator, you will play a key role in executing retail merchandising and ROI-generating events—from store demos to trade shows—while managing and training local Brand Ambassadors across the United States. This role supports the Marketing, Sales, and Operations teams, ensuring every event and campaign embodies the fun, energetic, and quality-driven spirit of Honey Mama’s.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, and manage teams of local Brand Ambassadors by scheduling demos and supporting day-to-day operations.
  • Oversee training and onboarding while cultivating a dynamic team culture built on playfulness, gratitude, respect, integrity, and ambition.
  • Execute local market sampling strategies, ensuring the consistent and engaging display of products and educational materials during in-store demos.
  • Lead guerrilla marketing campaigns and coordinate staffing for local events, trade shows, and promotional activations.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, and external partners (retailers, distributors, event producers, vendors) to fulfill demo kits, manage inventory, and track event materials.
  • Design and execute creative brand activations and events, while monitoring competitive activity and reporting on awareness and engagement metrics.

Required Qualifications

  • Must reside in Portland, OR and have a reliable vehicle.
  • 1 – 2 years of CPG marketing experience with a proven record of achieving consumer interaction targets and managing teams.
  • Experience in managing demos, events, and guerrilla marketing campaigns from start to finish.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for positive interactions with retail employees and customers.
  • Strong data and analytical skills with the ability to proactively make recommendations.
  • Superior project management and prioritization skills, proficient in MS Office Suite and Mac OS.
  • Willing and able to stand for extended periods (3-4 hours), work weekends and nights, and travel up to 40%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High degree of emotional intelligence with the ability to positively influence others.
  • Prior work experience in the CPG industry or at a manufacturer, and startup experience as part of a nimble team.
  • Advanced understanding and utilization of Promomash.
  • Deep personal connection to natural products, wellness, and innovative “challenger” brands.
  • A demonstrated interest in functional foods with an understanding of food as medicine.
  • Ability to manage fast-paced projects with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • A can-do attitude with eagerness to assist a small team in getting the job done.
