Position Overview

Frontier Group is seeking a Policy Analyst to deliver timely research and analysis on environmental and consumer issues. This full‐time role in Boston, MA belongs to the Frontier Group team.Compensation: $38,000 - $42,000 / year. The successful candidate will work with complex data, derive insights from diverse fields, and communicate clear, message‐driven reports that inform decision-makers and the public.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and draw conclusions from recent research in environmental science, public health, economics, and other fields.
  • Perform quantitative analysis of existing data sets and occasionally collect original data through interviews, surveys, and collaboration with academic researchers.
  • Write clear, concise, message-driven reports.
  • Produce op-eds, social media content, fact sheets, and other communications to disseminate research findings.
  • Evaluate policy alternatives and collaborate with advocates to develop policy principles and proposals.
  • Participate in organization-building activities including recruitment, fundraising, and staff training.

Required Qualifications

  • Either at least two years of full-time experience in public interest advocacy, journalism, or policy analysis and development OR an advanced degree in a relevant field with some related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Skills and creativity to distill complex data into clear, powerful conclusions that are easy to communicate.
  • Experience with designing analytical approaches, applying core statistical concepts, and translating scientific information for a lay audience.
  • Experience with modeling, geospatial analysis, database design, and/or developing online and mobile database tools.
  • Strong writing ability and experience in political or public interest work.
  • A solid academic record complemented by excellent reasoning and research skills.
  • Ability to rapidly pick up new topics, function well under deadlines, and demonstrate leadership while working effectively as part of a team.
