Job Description

Position Overview

Note: We will only be accepting the first 100 candidates.

Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is seeking a Regulators Assembler Crating for the 2nd shift. This role involves assembling regulator units by following detailed procedures including preparing materials, building and testing control boxes, assembling components, securing units to pallets, and ensuring quality through inspections and tests. Compensation: $19.15 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks across various work centers including palletizing, paint booth, control box building, assembly, testing, and final inspection.
  • Sign off on all relevant checklists (crane, PIV, TPM, machine guarding).
  • Obtain OPS and locate the pallet assembly number; select the pallet number and view the recipe for specifications.
  • Position the laser for board placement, cut runner and deck boards to size, secure boards with a nail gun, drill holes for the regulator, install carriage bolts, and secure the unit to the pallet.
  • Transport the pallet to the final inspection lane or paint area, push the pallet down the chute, and apply paint stencils if applicable.
  • Assemble and connect the control box by applying dielectric grease, securing cables, installing the UI bulkhead, applying silicon, and assembling name plates and decals.
  • Inspect and touch up paint, apply grease to caps, remove tape from components, assemble ground strap, series arrestors, connectors, and bird guards, then initiate a leak test and move the pallet to the next station.
  • Check hoses and connections, premix paint, set tank and fluid pressure, and clean the system thoroughly before pot life expires; wash, rinse, dry, verify color, and paint the unit; flush at the end of the shift.
  • Verify tool calibration and retrieve OPS; assemble capacitor and harness, insert jumper, secure wires; assemble the control panel, install components, route cables, and secure with nylon tie wraps; transfer completed assembly to the Control Box Assembly area.
  • Install the J-Box cover, wrap bushings, move the unit to the transfer cart, adjust chains, verify height, and wrap remaining plugs.
  • Safely operate overhead cranes and hoisting equipment to move materials, components, and finished products within the facility.
  • Actively participate in problem-solving processes to improve efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Achieve and maintain target production rates, ensuring efficient operations and meeting organizational goals.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, efficient material handling, 5S+ housekeeping practices, and company policies.
  • Perform other manufacturing duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • No formal education required; must be able to interpret document specifications.
  • Relevant work experience preferred; previous experience in manufacturing is a plus.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions as required.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform tasks such as bending, twisting, grabbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling.
  • Must adhere to proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, over the elbow sleeves, safety glasses, ear plugs, steel toe, and metatarsal guards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in hot environments and tolerate loud noises.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, adaptability, and a positive work ethic in alignment with Eaton's values.
