As a Workday Compensation Functional Analyst, you will play a pivotal Technical Product Owner role in transforming how we deliver value to our employees and business partners. You will execute the vision, roadmap, and delivery of Workday capabilities and optimization efforts related to Advanced Compensation, partnering with HR leadership, Schwab Technology Services (STS) and business stakeholders to support talent strategies, enhance the employee experience, and scale with our organization’s growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to a high-performing team of HR product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Execute the product strategy & roadmap for Workday’s Advanced Compensation Module, including Pay Planning, Merit, Bonus, and Equity.
- Translate complex business needs into actionable deliverables, including technical specifications, epics, and user stories for agile development teams.
- Partner cross-functionally with Total Rewards and Schwab Technology Services (STS) to design and maintain seamless integrations with downstream systems, ensuring data integrity.
- Stay abreast of Workday releases and feature previews, proactively assessing impact and championing the adoption of relevant enhancements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing system performance, gathering user feedback, and optimizing process efficiency.
- Serve as the primary subject matter expert (SME) and escalation point for all Workday Compensation-related issues.
- Please Note: This is an in-office role requiring on-site presence at one of the designated locations at least 4 days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.
Required Qualifications
- 4 years of technical Workday expertise with deep compensation domain knowledge.
- Proven success as a Product Owner or HR Lead for technology solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, HR Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
- Workday Pro Certification in Compensation is highly preferred.
- Proven success aligning product strategy with HR technology and business needs.
- Deep understanding of Compensation processes and experience delivering Workday-based solutions.
- Experience managing product roadmaps, prioritization frameworks, and agile delivery practices.
- Familiarity with Workday configuration and integration concepts (hands-on experience a plus).
- Ability to navigate complex organizational changes and influence stakeholders at all levels.
