Position Overview

It’s the sweetest time of year at Krispy Kreme! Our 10‐week paid internship (May 26th – July 31st) is designed for students looking to make full use of their talents through hands–on work experience. You’ll tackle meaningful projects that leave a lasting impact on our organization – including a highlight sweet group project that brings together interns from different departments to create your very own doughnut collection. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to unleash their creativity at our amazing office.

Location: South End Charlotte
Schedule: 10-week internship (May 26th – July 31st)
Compensation: Paid Internship

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform accounting responsibilities and project work, including preparing draft journal entries and supporting documentation.
  • Review current accounting processes to identify opportunities for improvement, increased efficiency, and better use of technology.
  • Analyze accounting data and transactions to identify significant fluctuations and summarize key trends.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis and reporting to share actionable insights.
  • Engage in potential projects such as accrual trend and accuracy analysis, reconciliation of the Received Not Invoiced account, transaction matching testing, and quarter-end financial reporting tie outs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Recent or current undergraduate/graduate student who will graduate between May 2025 and May 2027.
  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, passion for learning, and readiness to embrace new challenges.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to engage and work effectively with cross-functional partners across the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities under tight timelines.
  • Ability to work efficiently in an office environment.
  • A genuine love for doughnuts!
