Position Overview

Our client, a leading innovator in digital solutions, is seeking a highly creative and experienced Senior UI/UX Designer to join their dynamic team in Portland, Oregon, US. In this hybrid role—which blends in-office collaboration with remote flexibility—you will craft intuitive and engaging user experiences across digital platforms. You will translate complex user needs and business requirements into elegant, functional design solutions while championing user advocacy through research, testing, and iterative improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design process for new features and products from concept to launch.
  • Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and competitive analysis to gather insights.
  • Develop user personas, journey maps, and sitemaps to define user flows.
  • Create low-fidelity wireframes and high-fidelity interactive prototypes.
  • Design visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces that adhere to brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, marketing) for successful design implementation.
  • Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to identify areas for improvement.
  • Present design concepts and rationales to stakeholders, incorporating feedback as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies.
  • Mentor junior designers and contribute to the growth of the design team.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user research, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
  • Excellent understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
