Lead Robotic Process Automation Engineer

Position Overview

This role is responsible for providing high-level technical input and guidance through all stages of application design, development, testing and deployment. You will lead RPA initiatives using UiPath while managing multiple projects, mentoring team members, and ensuring that solutions meet stringent security and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-level technical input and guidance to developers, project teams, and business units on complex projects.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document solutions spanning multiple application programming phases.
• Lead RPA initiatives by overseeing design, development, testing, and deployment of automation solutions using UiPath.
• Support the end-to-end implementation of RPA projects including prototype development, performance validation, demos, and user training.
• Prioritize service requests, assign work to developers, and manage project schedules to ensure timely delivery.
• Define a strategic roadmap for automation initiatives and establish performance standards and best practices.
• Manage the incident and change management process using ITIL standards and platforms such as ServiceNow.
• Design architecture enhancements and evaluate performance to identify further automation opportunities.
• Coordinate development processes across the IT organization using modern methodologies like SCRUM/Agile.
• Research and recommend new vendors or technologies, integrating solutions with vendor systems when required.
• Mentor and coach automation engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
• Provide accurate and timely status reports on project progress and incident trends.
• Utilize experience with AI agents, orchestration, and monitoring solutions to enhance automation capabilities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned and comply with regulatory training requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics or a related technical field; or equivalent experience.
• 7-10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong technical skills in .NET/C#, Python, UI Path, Web Services, Visual Studio, and relevant configuration management tools (e.g., Visual SourceSafe/Team Foundation Server).
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML 5.0, SQL Server/TSQL, Java, XML, and Oracle/PL-SQL.
• Experience with Agile Methodology and SCRUM.
• Ability to use fact-finding and diagnostic tools, implement optimal solutions, and apply logical problem-solving approaches.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to write clear, readable code and effectively resolve issues.
• Familiarity with Finance or Credit Union processes is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building AI agents and orchestration solutions in a production environment.
• Proven track record in developing monitoring and evaluation solutions.
• Experience mentoring teams and leading technical projects in complex environments.
