Job Description

Position Overview

The Associate Software Engineer in Test at Radian is responsible for delivering quality, well-tested APIs, data processes, and end-user products to production using testing automation tools. You will contribute to our overall test automation framework while working both collaboratively and independently to drive excellence in product quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Business Process Engineers to analyze requirements, devise a test strategy, break down requirements into testable pieces, and design/write automated and manual test cases (integration, functional, smoke, acceptance, and regression tests).
  • Identify and update or replace test cases in automated scripts based on defects, project requirements, and updates.
  • Write new automated scripts, gather, and report metrics to track performance and reliability.
  • Contribute to the automated deployment of updates for testing purposes.
  • Participate in estimation activities for project scope and schedule as well as perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience building test automation systems in a software engineering role.
  • Strong coding aptitude with proficiency in languages such as C#, Java, Python, SQL, Shell scripting, and JavaScript.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, GIT, Jenkins).
  • Familiarity with CI tools (Jenkins, Bamboo) and source control systems (Git, Bitbucket).
  • Ability to create detailed test automation scripts covering functional, integration, smoke, and regression testing.
  • Experience applying Agile/Scrum methodology to test automation including continuous integration and test-driven development.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experiencewith at least 2 years of prior work-related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of AWS Cloud, Kubernetes, Docker, Microservices, or Azure Cloud services.
  • Familiarity with Agile and SDLC processes.
