Position Overview
Roku is changing how the world watches TV. As the #1 streaming platform in the US and Mexico with a global vision, Roku is pioneering the TV streaming ecosystem by connecting consumers, publishers, and advertisers. In this role as a PR Coordinator on the Global Communications team—specifically within the Devices & Consumer team—you will drive the consumer narrative for new products, product/OS features, and key campaigns. From crafting press releases to pitching media and developing press materials, you will be instrumental in supporting Roku’s mission and expansive growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Support, build and execute U.S. Roku Communications
- Develop press materials, including press releases, blog posts, pitches, briefing documents, recap reports, media and competitor analysis
- Support key product launches, partnerships and retail/consumer moments through effective pitch efforts
- Grow relationships with technology, consumer, and lifestyle media and influencers
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Marketing, Product, and Program Management as the liaison for PR efforts
- Help maintain the external product communications editorial calendar
- Monitor TV and smart home trends and quickly adapt strategies to leverage pop culture moments
- Communicate knowledgably about the Roku streaming platform, Roku products, and The Roku Channel
Required Qualifications
- 2 – 4 years of consumer or product communications experience at a fast-growing tech company or agency
- Strong writing skills and the ability to produce materials with minimal editing
- High interest in the news and media industries
- A passion for streaming and all things TV
- A positive, collaborative personality with a commitment to achieving successful outcomes
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure and respond quickly
- Strong multitasking skills and proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with internal partners and stakeholders
- Excellent organizational and analytical communication skills
- Strong project management skills to execute tasks in a timely and organized manner
- Ability to work independently while prioritizing tasks and managing inbound requests
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

- Compensation: For New York only – the estimated annual salary is between $86,000 - $107,000, with packages tailored to individual candidates based on factors such as skill set, certifications, and location.
