Job Description

Position Overview

ACRT Pacific, LLC offers expert independent consulting solutions across the Western United States with specialties in vegetation management, arborist training, safety courses, and technology solutions. In this role, you will provide field oversight support for the Natural Resources Management (NRM) Systemwide Program on the Defensible Space team. As a Field Technician I, you will perform inspections, data entry, report generation, and project management using applications such as Maps+ and Field Maps, ensuring adherence to PG&E procedures and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, implement, and manage projects.
  • Develop project scope, coordinate with agencies, and procure pricing from vendors.
  • Inspect sites for vegetation needs that promote safe access, operations, maintenance, and fuel reduction.
  • Assess, identify, map, and mark trees that are dead, dying, hazardous, or in conflict with operational needs.
  • Conduct environmental reviews and provide professional advice on required site protection measures.
  • Supervise onsite crews performing vegetation control and property management, ensuring compliance with laws and standards.
  • Monitor crew progress, safety issues, resource usage, and overall project performance.
  • Collect and update electronic data on work performed, including photos, maps, and descriptive reports.
  • Consult with PG&E personnel to resolve environmental, customer, or project-specific issues.
  • Confirm that all projects have the proper environmental permits and documentation.
  • Coordinate with agencies regarding permitting, notifications, and project-specific requirements.
  • Oversee project completion to ensure the scope of work is fulfilled.
  • Coordinate with relevant parties for pesticide applications and secure necessary recommendations.
  • Identify property owners and obtain written permission to perform work when required.
  • Mark environmentally sensitive areas, including watercourses, riparian areas, and wetlands, as directed by PG&E.
  • Report any safety hazards, concerns, or conditions of nonconformance encountered in the field.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Forestry, Vegetation Management, or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of vegetation and property management with familiarity in GIS applications
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Minimum age of 21

Preferred Qualifications

  • ISA certification, TRAQ, OSHA30
  • Experience supporting vegetation, rodent, and property management activities
  • Proficiency with Maps+ and Field Maps applications, GPS data collection, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel experience preferred)
