Hazen and Sawyer is seeking entry-level engineers for our South Florida Offices for a variety of water-related assignments in various engineering disciplines (e.g., Environmental, Civil, Chemical, etc.). These assignments may include a wide range of water, wastewater, stormwater, reuse, and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing engineering deliverables, including sampling studies, condition assessments, process modeling, hydraulics, and design reports
  • Manage data for process modeling and design
  • Attend client and internal project management meetings
  • Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors to select equipment
  • Support multiple projects from planning through construction
  • Participate in fieldwork and site visits

Required Qualifications:

  • EIT or: plan to obtain within 2 years
  • 0-5 years: of experience
  • Excellent: writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency: in computer software typically used (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong: organizational skills
  • B.S. degree: in environmental, civil, chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree: (Master’s or Doctorate) in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited U.S. program (other engineering degrees considered case by case)
  • Conducts: self-quality reviews before submitting work for additional QA/QC
  • Proficiency: in GIS, CAD/BIM, BioWin, PowerBI, and other software
