Position Overview

The Machine Intelligence for LANguage (MILAN) team is eager to welcome a dynamic Junior Full Stack Engineer to contribute to the MILAN App – a pivotal tool used by nurses and MDs to review faxes and make critical decisions regarding patient requests. As our user base expands to include Outpatient, Inpatient, and Pharmacy use cases, your role will be crucial in enhancing the application’s functionality and scope, directly impacting patient care. This is a remote position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance application features.
  • Implement logging and error tracking.
  • Collaborate in designing and developing new features for the MILAN App with a focus on Outpatient, Inpatient, and Pharmacy modules.
  • Ensure robust logging mechanisms for optimal tracking and troubleshooting.
  • Utilize analytics to drive data-informed improvements.
  • Improve app performance by minimizing loading times.
  • Implement and maintain user group controls to secure access to sensitive data.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in full stack development with languages such as JavaScript, Python, and Ruby, and experience with frameworks like React or Angular, as well as databases (SQL: PostgreSQL, MySQL; NoSQL: MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure) and API integrations.
  • Strong understanding of secure, scalable software design.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
  • A proactive attitude with a commitment to continuous learning and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
