Position Overview

At BAE Systems, you’ll join the ES Defense Hardware Engineering Team, working on advanced electronic systems that power everything from aerospace innovations to critical defense projects. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide mechanical engineering support for product design, development, and selection of hardware components.
  • Perform static, dynamic, and heat transfer analyses of mechanical structures using company tools.
  • Assist in the verification and validation of designs, including prototype fabrication and environmental testing.
  • Prepare technical documentation such as drawings, engineering specifications, and design review packages.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and sustainment activities for products in production.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required for Mechanical Engineer I or Master’s degree for Mechanical Engineer II.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to support design and development of hardware.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and perform tolerance assessments.
  • Competence in performing basic thermal and dynamic analysis.

  • Good communication and organizational skills.
