Job Description

Position Overview

The DSR role is responsible for calling on, maintaining, and growing existing customers while opening new accounts throughout the year. Reporting to the District Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be self-motivated, organized, and committed to a career in a values-driven, family-owned business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foodservice sales – anywhere food is consumed away from home; Restaurants, Clubs, Healthcare, Schools, Institutions, Delis and Cafes
  • Open and maintain new accounts
  • Make weekly sales calls on customers and prospects to build lasting customer relationships
  • Offer and oversee product demonstrations with the Corporate Chef and Specialists
  • Utilize consultative selling with the aid of company ads and information
  • Maintain accounts receivables in accordance with agreed upon terms
  • Utilize our mix of products to meet customer needs
  • Maintain sales records on accounts, price quotes, and menu ideas
  • Process orders on a tablet/laptop

Required Qualifications

  • Relevant work experience or college degree preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Background in the restaurant industry or sales
  • Self-starter with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Reside in the geographic vicinity of the territory
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
