Job Description

The Director of Field Marketing leads the Field Marketing team by providing strategic leadership and ensuring the successful implementation of the organization's marketing strategies & tactics. Working closely with the Area Directors of Operations, the Area Directors of Marketing, and the Field Marketing Managers and specialists, this position will lead the development of individual restaurant marketing plans to drive trial, awareness, and traffic to help build brand advocacy. This leader is responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of marketing strategies, tactics & programs and provide direction for improving and building new programs to help build best practices for a high growth team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exhibits the REIR values (Respect, Excellence, Integrity, Responsibility) to provide leadership direction through positive management and guidance; spends time in restaurants, actively participates in daily discussions on restaurant performance, execution of marketing philosophies and the development of restaurant marketing plans.
  • Leads day-to-day operations, execution, and development of the field marketing team.
  • Partners cross-functionally with Operations, Brand, Media, Revenue Growth, and other teams to drive sales performance and ROI.
  • Ensures alignment to ROI methodologies, consistent execution, and follow-up to measure effectiveness.
  • Drives community engagement through local partnerships and grassroots marketing initiatives at the restaurant level.
  • Collaborates with Recruiting to hire, onboard, and develop high-performing field marketing talent.
  • Oversees team performance through coaching, mentoring, and regular feedback.
  • Develops, manages, and reconciles marketing budgets, invoices, and monthly financial results.
  • Ensures teams have the tools, systems, and marketing plans needed to effectively support restaurants.
  • Partners with Media and Sponsorships to develop and execute awareness-driving, traffic-building initiatives tailored to each market.
  • Collaborates with Brand and Revenue Growth teams to implement campaigns, leverage customer insights, and optimize local marketing strategies.
  • Prepares and delivers weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting and analysis on sales, traffic, and campaign performance.
  • Identifies, evaluates, and manages sponsorship opportunities, including budget oversight and execution.
  • Maintains strong communication with Operations to ensure field marketing alignment, execution accountability, and market-level insights.

Requirements

  • 10+ years field marketing management experience in multi-unit restaurants.
  • Experience leading a multi-tiered field-based team.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities & change.
  • Self-driven, flexible, and highly energetic with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Microsoft Proficient: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • Based in Virginia, VA, and ability to travel 40-50% of the time.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
