Job Title: Truss Designer (Alpine ITW Software)

Location: Houston, Texas (On-site, Remote, Full-Time)

We are seeking an experienced Truss Designer

with strong proficiency in Alpine (iModel / IntelliVIEW) software to join our growing team in Houston. This is a full-time position designing roof and floor trusses for a mix of residential, commercial, and multi-family projects across Texas and surrounding states.

Key Responsibilities

• Design roof trusses, floor trusses, and related components using Alpine software (iModel, IntelliVIEW, etc.)
• Interpret architectural and structural plans, specifications, and load requirements
• Produce accurate layouts, truss placement plans, engineering calculations, and shop drawings
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, sales team, and production staff to ensure designs are buildable, code-compliant, and cost-effective
• Perform truss repairs and modifications for field issues
• Maintain organized project files and meet scheduled deadlines.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of truss design experience using Alpine or similar software (iModel/ IntelliVIEW)
• Proven experience designing trusses for residential, commercial, and multi-family projects
• Strong understanding of IBC, IRC, TPI, and local Texas building codes
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with other software (MiTek Sapphire, Simpson Strong-Tie, etc.) is a plus
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or Revit

Current Texas Professional Engineer license
