As a Nurse Advocate, you will guide patients from program enrollment through treatment, helping to overcome barriers to successful therapy and providing essential clinical education and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a consistent resource throughout the continuum of program services by identifying and addressing barriers to therapy.
- Act as an educator with practical knowledge of clinical treatments and an understanding of the emotional and financial impacts associated with diagnoses.
- Provide patients with detailed information about their prescribed therapy including benefits, known side effects, proper administration, dosing, and insurance coverage options.
- Empower patients by triaging them to additional non-program support services when needed.
- Report adverse events or product complaints in accordance with SOP and good manufacturer practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in your current state of practice.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of nursing experience with an emphasis on patient education and management.
- Demonstrated clinical nursing experience and familiarity with relevant disease states, treatment protocols, and prescribing algorithms.
- Proficient computer skills and the ability to adapt to changing work assignments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an aptitude for multitasking, recognizing emotions, and maintaining high integrity.
- Proactive with the ability to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Nurseline triage, Call Center Utilization Management, or Call Center Case Management.
- Background in case management or as a Clinical Trial Nurse.
- Bachelor's degree.
