Vice President, Originations - Private Credit

Position Overview

We’re partnering with an established private credit asset manager to hire a Vice President of Originations. This role focuses on directly originated, senior secured lender finance opportunities in the $25-50 million range.

Additional areas of focus include:

• Bridge financings
• NAV lending
• Seasoning facilities
• Forward-flow arrangements
• Secondary purchases of asset pools and LP interests

Key Responsibilities

• Lead origination activity and generate a strong pipeline of qualified investment opportunities aligned with the firm’s strategy
• Build and maintain relationships with borrowers, venture capital firms, investment banks, commercial banks, debt advisors, brokers, and other market participants
• Pre-screen opportunities and manage counterparties through early negotiation phases up to signed term sheets

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or certification preferred
• 5+ years of relevant experience, with a proven track record of originating institutional credit investments
• Buyside background strongly preferred
• Deep network of industry contacts and deal sources
• Strong understanding of asset-based lending, credit underwriting, and deal structuring
