Join our team at the Merriweather Lakehouse Hotel, Autograph Collection in Columbia, MD as a Human Resource Specialist with a focus on Recruitment & Training. Located in a scenic wooded area along Lake Kittamaqundi and part of the award-winning Meyer Jabara Hotels, our mission is to create memorable experiences while fostering an environment of empowerment and growth. In this full-time role, you will be the driving force behind attracting, hiring, and developing top talent, ensuring an exceptional workplace experience for our associates.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Recruitment Efforts: Source, screen, and interview candidates to fill positions across the organization.
- Develop Talent Pipelines: Build long-term connections with potential candidates through effective networking.
- Onboarding Excellence: Create engaging onboarding experiences for new hires.
- Training & Development: Design, implement, and evaluate training programs to enhance skills and career growth.
- Collaborate Across Departments: Partner with managers to understand hiring needs and customize training initiatives.
- Stay Ahead of Trends: Keep up with HR best practices in recruitment and learning & development.
- Process Payroll.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in HR with a focus on recruitment and training.
- Strong interviewing and candidate evaluation skills.
- Ability to design and deliver engaging training programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of HR systems, labor laws, and recruitment tools.
