Osman & Smay LLC is a small plaintiffs employment law firm dedicated to handling discrimination cases and providing exceptional legal services to our clients. We are seeking a motivated and skilled Entry Level Lawyer with 0-3 years of experience to join our dynamic team. We offer training to ensure new lawyers are well-prepared to handle the caseload.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in handling employment law cases, including litigation, counseling, and compliance matters, with a focus on discrimination cases
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Provide sound legal advice and develop strategies for resolving client issues
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Participate in client meetings and case strategy discussions
- Stay updated with the latest developments in employment law

Qualifications:

- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in a reciprocal jurisdiction of Kansas and/or Missouri. KS & MO license preferred.
- 0-3 years of experience in active legal practice
- Strong writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise documents
- Good judgment and analytical skills in assessing issues
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
