Private Duty Registered Nurse

Position Overview

Private Duty Registered Nurse with Compensation: $48/hr, Available Shifts: 7A-7P & 7P-7A and Start Date: Immediate.
We are proud to offer you the opportunity to pursue your passion as a Private Duty Registered Nurse. We are looking for caring and skilled RN's to deliver concierge level care to clients in Chicago's Gold Coast.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide thoughtful care to clients and patients based on a personalized Plan of Care.
• Administer prescribed medications at scheduled times, ensuring the correct dosage.
• Provide hands-on support with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Assist with mobility, including transferring from bed to chair, and ensuring the client’s safety while moving.
• Offer emotional support and reassurance using calm, reassuring language to reduce anxiety or agitation.
• Manage difficult behaviors associated with advanced Alzheimer’s using de-escalation techniques.
• Observe changes in the client’s physical or mental condition, including sleep patterns, appetite, and memory, and report to the healthcare team or family members.
• Monitor intake and output.
• Track changes in the client/patient’s conditions and inform the Director of Nursing and other appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of daily care, including activities, behaviors, medications administered, and any incidents.

Required Qualifications

• Current unrestricted RN license in the state where care is provided.
• Certified CPR and a negative TB skin test or chest x-ray.
• Minimum one (1) year of documented experience in a home health agency or healthcare facility.
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance.
• Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, with varied assistance depending on client mobility.
