Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating, and maintaining products
  • Takes full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code
  • Creates optimal design adhering to architectural best practices while considering scalability, reliability, and performance
  • Leverages expertise in web-based applications and various technical environments such as Tandem, COBOL85, SCOBOL, and more
  • Makes sound design and coding decisions with the customer experience in the forefront
  • Incorporates feedback from code reviews and applies changes to meet standards
  • Conducts code reviews to guide engineering best practices and ensure compliance with development procedures
  • Ensures all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices
  • Exhibits relentless focus on embedding software reliability engineering standards into development

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Three to five years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in software development in an HP Non-Stop (legacy Tandem) environment using Guardian and/or OSS, with tools such as TAL, TACL, SCOBOL, COBOL, C/C++, Java, Python, Eclipse IDE, and Web Development frameworks
  • Coding skills in the HP Non-Stop environment using TAL, TACL, SCOBOL, COBOL
  • Knowledge in specialized applications like Base24 Classic Application, Base24 Business Analyst, and Base24 ATM/POS Processing; familiarity with Network Compares, Network Mandates, and Network Adjustment
  • Experience with Safeguard, MQ Series, and ACI Desktop TSS
  • Previous experience with test automation tools and test case development
  • Development or support experience with wire transfer (Fedwire, CHIPS, SWIFT) applications
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
