Position Overview
Edgeway Events is a premier Christian event rental company based in Chattanooga, TN, dedicated to providing exceptional event experiences rooted in Christian values. The company, known for its portfolio including Party Time Inflatables, Chattanooga Bounce, Complete Service Rentals, Shelf Service Bouncers, Wilder Wood Camps, and Music City Axe Throwing, is seeking an experienced Lead Event Setup and Execution Coordinator to oversee the setup, execution, and clean-up of events across the United States. Location: Chattanooga, TN (with travel across the United States). Schedule: Flexible part-time and full-time hours based on event workload.
Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities
- Lead by example in the setup and preparation of event venues, actively participating in the assembly of tents, inflatables, seating arrangements, and other rental items.
- Ensure all setup tasks are performed with care, attention to detail, and a spirit of service.
- Provide guidance, direction, and support to the setup crew by delegating tasks and ensuring efficient task completion.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and accountability.
- Oversee event execution by coordinating logistics and ensuring smooth operations throughout the event.
- Maintain clear communication with clients, vendors, and venue staff to promptly address any concerns.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional customer service from initial consultation through event completion.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships by ensuring that expectations are met or exceeded.
- Communicate event details and updates clearly with all stakeholders for seamless coordination.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and provide creative solutions to enhance the event experience.
- Develop detailed event plans, timelines, and checklists to ensure comprehensive coordination.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to secure necessary equipment, services, and materials.
- Lead the teardown and removal of rental items post-event, ensuring efficient dismantling, packing, and loading.
- Ensure venues are left in impeccable condition following events.
- Adapt and support fellow team members by serving as a work crew member on events even when led by other team leads.
- Take initiative in identifying areas for improvement and implementing innovative solutions to streamline operations.
Qualifications: Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in event management, hospitality, or related fields is desirable.
- Proven experience in event setup, execution, or production roles, with the ability to lead teams and coordinate logistics for events of varying scales.
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to actively participate in hands-on setup, execution, and clean-up tasks while embodying a servant leadership mindset.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills to inspire and motivate team members in a collaborative work environment.
- Physical stamina and flexibility to work in demanding event environments.
