Medium Branding & Marketing Specialist - Volunteer for Scam Prevention

Position Overview

Join weAFAR, a newly formed IRS-approved nonprofit with a big mission: supporting survivors of scams and financial fraud while promoting practical prevention strategies. As our Medium Branding & Marketing Specialist volunteer, you will apply the organization’s visual identity to our Medium portal, ensuring posts and graphics look professional, credible, and mission-aligned.

This role will help lay the foundation for weAFAR’s all-volunteer Branding & Marketing Department, a growing team dedicated to amplifying our mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply finalized weAFAR branding consistently across the Medium portal.
• Design and refresh graphics, banners, headers, and cover images for posts.
• Create branded templates and visual assets for Medium articles.
• Collaborate with leadership and the brand designer to maintain brand consistency.
• Ensure content is approachable, trustworthy, and visually engaging.

Required Qualifications

• Experience with branding implementation, graphic design, or visual storytelling.
• Proficiency with Medium, Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar tools.
• Creative, mission-aligned, reliable, and collaborative approach.
• Passion for helping scam survivors and preventing financial fraud.
