Position Overview

With over a century of experience in manufacturing and installing processing equipment, the company serves multiple industries including polymer/rubber, vegetable oil, and pet feed across more than 90 countries. The Sales Engineer will act as a key technical resource in the sales process, working closely with both the sales team and customers to understand requirements, provide technical expertise, and develop tailored solutions for the oilseed and feed industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify potential customers and opportunities.
  • Assess customer requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver technical proposals and quotations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues related to product implementation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Provide feedback to product development teams regarding customer needs.
  • Present machinery, equipment, and technology at association meetings, short courses, and customer events.
  • Transmit field service knowledge to the R&D department to support continuous product innovation.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and participating in professional societies.
  • Travel up to 40-50% domestically and internationally to oversee equipment installations, conduct pre-commissioning surveys, startup processes, and troubleshoot equipment.
  • Work with the Customer Service/Inside Sales division to support active processing lines and maintain strong customer relations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Self-starter with a motivated and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of operating and maintenance principles behind Expellers® and Expanders, as well as auxiliary equipment in relevant process markets.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Capability in solving mass and energy balances related to process flow diagrams.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs.
  • Working knowledge of the relevant product line.
  • Basic understanding of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and mass transfer principles.
  • Strong ability to develop and maintain relationships both internationally and within the company.
  • Technical background and strong technical skills.
  • Educated in Process Safety.
