Position Overview
Boston Consulting Group’s BCG X is searching for a Data Scientist to join a dynamic, collaborative team that tackles real‐world business challenges using advanced analytics and AI. In this role, you will apply data science methods across industries—from framing business problems to designing, implementing, and scaling innovative solutions for clients. You will work closely with industry leaders and contribute to thought leadership in scientific communities.
Locations: Boston, Chicago, Pittsburgh, New York, Brooklyn, Miami, Dallas, San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles, Manhattan Beach.

Key Responsibilities
- Own the full analytics value-chain—from framing business challenges and designing innovative algorithms to implementing and deploying scalable AI solutions.
- Partner with clients across various regions and industries to drive meaningful business impact.
- Develop and deliver thought leadership through publications and conference presentations on behalf of BCG X.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate AI into transformative business solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Proven expertise in data science, statistics, and operations research with significant experience applying advanced analytics to complex business challenges.
- Comfortable in a client-facing role with the ambition to lead teams and explain sophisticated data science concepts in clear and simple terms.
- Ability to distill complex results into clear visualizations and insights.
- Experience with modern development tools and collaborative coding practices; proficiency in programming with Python.
- Strong project management skills and a deep understanding of modern machine learning techniques along with their mathematical underpinnings.

- Compensation: First-year base compensation ranges from $110,000 USD (Data Scientist I) to $160,000 USD (Data Scientist III).
