Machine Technician - Stockton, CA Weekend Day Shift

Position Overview

Packsize is redefining the way businesses and their customers use packaging worldwide. As a Resident Service Engineer in Stockton, CA working a Weekend Day Shift (Fri–Sun 6am–6pm, 100% on-site), you will install, configure, and maintain Packsize equipment solutions at customer facilities. You will be responsible for start-up testing, customer training on product capabilities and maintenance, and building strong, trust-based customer relationships while providing exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule tasks at customer job sites
• Troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively using technical drawings and documentation
• Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Software, and Quality Engineering teams
• Perform routine maintenance and emergency services as needed
• Analyze customer KPIs to identify and resolve machine performance issues
• Continuously learn the customer’s operational processes, packaging designs, and technical specifications
• Install Packsize solutions and train customers on their use and maintenance
• Handle basic clerical and administrative duties such as responding to emails, submitting expense reports, and making travel arrangements
• Communicate effectively with both Packsize and customer personnel
• Adhere to Packsize and customer safety protocols, especially regarding exposed moving parts and electricity
• Exhibit excellent work ethic and time management skills
• Perform machine operation tasks including clearing jams, loading Z-fold, changing labels, changing bander paper, and adding glue

Required Qualifications

• Customer service focus
• Familiarity with Windows platforms
• Experience using hand tools and understanding mechanical platforms
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) or Google Suite (Sheets, Docs) is helpful
• Associates Degree, Vocational Training, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related area preferred
