Position Overview

Pharmaceutical Sales Representative (Entry Level or Specialty)

We are a healthcare industry specialty distributor serving the pharmaceutical and medical supply markets. Our healthcare professional and physician customers benefit from a diverse group of products and services. We are looking for healthcare and business-minded professionals with proven sales track records who strive for organizational success and seek career growth. As a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, you will drive profitable sales growth by developing, maintaining, and advancing accounts through regular contact with medical offices, hospitals, and rehabilitation institutions within a defined territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing healthcare product demonstrations, physician detailing, and in-servicing of products to current and potential customers.
  • Consulting with physicians, nursing staff, phlebotomists, and medical office personnel to secure product orders and increase product usage.
  • Sustaining or generating new and repeat orders for all products and programs.
  • Supplying necessary information to effectively operate the overall business by completing required reports accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Performing other duties related to the position as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Some college experience and prior sales experience.
  • Strong initiative with exceptional customer service, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Previous success in attaining and exceeding sales goals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and familiarity with contact management (CRM) software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven customer acumen and relationship-building skills in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience interfacing with both internal teams and external customers as part of a solution-based sales process.
  • Experience collaborating with and driving sales through channel partner organizations.
  • A good understanding of industry trends and market dynamics in the healthcare/pharmaceutical sector.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex issues into clear messages.
  • Excellent process orientation, resource management, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
