Job Description
Company Overview:
Warehouse Inventory Associate play a crucial role in The Home Depot’s distribution network, ensuring merchandise is received, stored, and shipped safely and efficiently. They help maintain smooth warehouse operations to support both stores and customers effectively.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
- Move materials within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, hoists, conveyors, or other equipment.
- Sort, stage, and transport products to their designated warehouse locations.
- Operate machinery and forklifts in adherence to safety policies and company guidelines.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory management processes.
- Inspect products for defects or damage and report any issues promptly.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational targets.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Ability to lift and handle heavy items (50 lbs or more) frequently.
- Basic math and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures.
- Physically demanding role involving repetitive lifting, bending, and equipment operation.
