Job Description
Position Overview
City of Phoenix - Lead Business Systems Analyst – 145086 (Hybrid position – 90% Remote). Looking for only Arizona residents within commuting distance to downtown Phoenix, AZ. Onsite presence is required for ad hoc meetings. We are seeking a Business Analyst to work with the Data Services management team and various department stakeholders to document business requirements, develop functional requirements, and implement technology solutions that align with city goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in weekly scrum meetings with the Data Services Management team.
- Analyze current business processes and recommend improvements based on industry trends.
- Improve training and operational procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Work directly with clients to understand individual business needs.
- Create and present reports to executive team members and shareholders to support recommendations.
- Oversee the inclusion of business requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Utilize a variety of data analysis and organization tools to support process improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, information technology, or a related field with 1–3 years of experience in project coordination and business analysis.
- Proficiency in data analytics, business intelligence, and statistical analysis.
- Excellent skills in capturing business requirements and translating them into technical requirements.
- Strong document management practices using tools such as Microsoft Office 365, Sensei IQ, and Microsoft Project.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain strong relationships.
- Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, analytical, and problem-solving skills along with keen attention to detail.
- Proven time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Technical skills to support requirements gathering for hardware and software upgrades and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of business process documentation and project management.
