Position Overview

As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Sr at Honeywell, you will lead efforts to optimize advanced manufacturing operations and drive operational excellence. Reporting directly to an Engineering Manager, you will work out of our Location: Minneapolis, MN on a Schedule: 100% onsite work schedule. In this role, you will plan and design manufacturing processes, analyze production methods, and implement innovative process improvements to increase capacity, yield, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers to enhance their skills and careers at Honeywell.
- Identify and oversee process improvement projects to enhance manufacturing efficiency and reduce waste.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement advanced manufacturing technologies.
- Provide test and manufacturing support for Ring Laser Gyro (RLG) and Tactical Guidance Products (TGP) production.
- Perform yield and performance data analysis to monitor process capability and product health.
- Utilize CAMP, Lean, and Six-Sigma methodologies to standardize engineering work practices.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues, facilitating issue identification and analysis.
- Develop improvements in product design as well as manufacturing and assembly processes to reduce cost and cycle time.
- Assist in the development of new products and process/product technologies.
- Support the integration and production implementation of new equipment and process optimizations.
- Facilitate a self-driven work force culture focused on achieving production targets and quality goals.
- Test products and software, and provide leadership to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
- 6+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
- Expert knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to solve complex problems.
- Experience with tools and technologies such as CAD software, statistical process control, and Six Sigma methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Engineering degrees such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.
- 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Product or process engineering experience.
- Experience with optics and working in a cleanroom environment.
- Ability to balance priorities in daily tasks and strategic projects.
- Hands-on work ethic, initiative, and ownership of responsibilities.
- Strong leadership skills and a passion for driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Commitment to safety and quality in manufacturing processes.
Benefits & Perks
- Salary: $101,000 - $126,000 per year
