Job Description
Position Overview
As a Process Engineer at 3M, you will collaborate with innovative professionals from around the world to lead projects that improve process safety, quality, service, cost, capacity, and productivity. Key Responsibilities
- Identify, initiate, and lead projects to improve process safety, quality, service, cost, capacity, and productivity.
- Improve process capability on manufacturing equipment using tools such as standard work, tier reviews, and kaizens.
- Troubleshoot defects through root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions.
- Engage in daily operations to resolve equipment downtime issues, assure quality and productivity, and meet service targets.
- Create and maintain product/process documentation including specifications, test methods, and change management documentation.
- Establish an extensive network of support across laboratory, quality, financial, manufacturing, engineering, sales, and marketing functions.
- Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and serve as a technical resource within the team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in an Engineering field from an accredited university (verified prior to start).
- At least two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing setting with demonstrated strength in engineering and mechanical problem solving.
- Training and experience in continuous improvement methods, statistics, designed experiments, and Six Sigma; Green Belt certification is a plus.
- Strong understanding of equipment reliability concepts and methods.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and remain flexible amid changes.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated project leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.

- Compensation: $98,413 - $120,282 including base pay and variable incentive pay.
