Job Description
Position Overview
We are looking for a Product Designer to join our UX Design Team at Liberty Global Risk Solutions, reporting to the Head of Digital Product Design and User Experience. You will work on regional and global initiatives, collaborating with teams across various offices and with our wider Liberty Mutual Group colleagues. This role requires a user-centric approach to continuously optimize the quality and value of our outputs and to measure the impact of our designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Create user experience and visual design solutions for assigned projects based on business objectives and user research.
- Optimize multi-step user flows using various design tools (e.g. experience/service design maps, journey maps, storyboards, wireframes, prototypes).
- Maintain defined UX and brand standards in visual, interaction, and motion design; propose changes and contribute to the design pattern library.
- Participate in the discovery process including user persona development and interpreting user goals, with occasional leading of user research activities.
- Collect and interpret user research, concept testing, and usability testing results to make informed design recommendations.
- Act as an advocate for the end user within a cross-functional team and collaborate by sharing designs early and incorporating feedback.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to design, create, and maintain an overall product design vision that enhances user experience and meets business goals.
- Relevant experience as a UX/product designer with a strong track record of moderate to complex design solutions.
- Experience working on multi-integration and operationally complex software projects.
- Proven expertise in branding implementation, design systems, style guides, UX patterns, and workflows.
- Proficiency with popular design, prototyping, discovery, and user testing tools (e.g. Figma, Miro, Unmoderated/Moderated User Testing).
- Experience using data analytics for monitoring performance and driving optimization decisions.
- Familiarity with Agile environments and collaboration with development teams.
- Excellent time management, prioritization, and critical decision-making skills.
- Ability to design with long-term sustainability and reusability in mind.
- Experience collaborating with multiple product managers and a strong advocate for accessibility standards and compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience along with 5+ years in a related field.
- Familiarity with methodologies such as Agile, Design Thinking, Lean UX, and Lean Startup.
- Demonstrated proficiency in at least two core disciplines (visual design, UX design, prototyping, front-end development, user research, or experiment design).
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills with strong organizational and analytic abilities.
- Proven experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
